Plainville soldier at Fort Hood

PLAINVILLE - Army helicopter pilot Keith Eastman, son of local resident Celeste Eastman, was at Fort Hood, Texas Thursday during the shootings that left 12 people dead and more than 30 injured.
Eastman managed to get word out that he was unhurt via text messages to his wife and his mother, according to The Boston Globe.
The 26-year-old warrant officer was in a meeting when the shootings occurred and the base was placed on lockdown. Eastman is an Apache helicopter pilot with the Fourth Infantry Division.
Eastman and his wife Stephanie, have two children.
