To all who volunteered their time, efforts, and services: On Aug. 21, 2009, the Attleboro Police Association held it’s annual Senior Citizens Cookout at the Elk’s Club in Attleboro. Due to the efforts of volunteers comprised of members of the Attleboro Police Association, civilian employees of the Attleboro Police Department, and others, this year’s cookout was a great success.
Thank you to all 23 volunteers, police personnel and civilian alike, who dedicated your time and efforts on one of the hottest days of the year to make this event run smoothly and efficiently. Your combined efforts ensured that all 237 seniors in attendance were served and treated with the utmost care.
I would also like to especially thank the following businesses and organizations who assisted the APA this year: the Elk’s BPOE 1014, BJ’s Wholesale in Taunton, Castro’s County Square Liquors, Dunkin’ Donuts in County Square, and the Attleboro Council on Aging. Also, as in year’s past, a special note of thanks to Eleanor “Miss Ellie” Clarke for all her hard work and dedication to this function.
In close, on behalf of APA President Jim Cote, APA Vice President Kevin Fuoco, and APA Treasurer Mark Burton, THANK YOU ALL for your hard work, service, and assistance.
Respectfully, Timothy D. Cook, Jr., Secretary, Attleboro Police Association
