Decorate a pumpkin at Norfolk Library







The Norfolk Public Library is hosting its fourth annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Bring your decorated pumpkin to the library before Saturday, Oct. 24 and have a chance to win prizes. Pumpkins will be available for viewing in the library and on the library Web page off www.virtualnorfolk.org. Vote for favorites from Oct. 24 to Oct. 29 online or in the library. The winners will be announced on Friday, Oct. 30.

Contest rules: Pumpkins may not be carved or hollowed out. Objects, paper, and materials of any kind may be pinned or glued to pumpkins. Participants may also draw or paint on their entries. Each entry must have a title. Each entry must be submitted with an entry form, available online and in the library. The library reserves the right to dispose of any pumpkin that deteriorates before the end of the contest.

Prizes: Ages 3 to 6 - $25 Toys "R" Us; Ages 7-12 - $25 Target; Teen/Adult - $25 Target Group; and $25, Eagle Brook Saloon.

Music for toddlers

Community Partnerships for Children, part of Self Help, will be at the Norfolk Public Library Friday, Oct. 23 from 10:15 to 11 a.m. for "Music and Movement" for toddlers. The program is for children up to 3 and involves music, rhymes, and action. Registration is required.
