NORTH ATTLEBORO - Police arrested two alleged shoplifters at Best Buy after stopping their car at Route 1 and Allen Avenue a short distance from the electronic goods store.
The driver of the car, Teiyla Shaw, 19, and Jason R. Carrion, 26, both of Woonsocket, R.I., were charged with shoplifting Wednesday afternoon.
They were released, but neither defendant appeared Thursday for their arraignments in Attleboro District Court.
Judge James Sullivan ordered arrest warrants issued for the suspects.
Carrion and Shaw were arrested around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday by officers Richard McQuade and Christopher Roy after they were dispatched for a reported shoplifter running from Best Buy.
Carrion allegedly dropped the $200 pair of Bose headphones at the door and ran to a nearby parking lot where he got into a car, police said.
He was additionally charged with vandalism and possession of burlgar's tools.
Shaw was additionally charged with driving without a license, police said.
