Top Headlines Dominic Anthony Spolidoro, 84 Retired principal engineer ATTLEBORO - Dominic Anthony Spolidoro, 84, of Juniper Avenue, Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a three-week illness. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne E. (Laverdiere) Spolidoro, to whom he was married on Oct. 6, 1956. Born in Providence on July 27, 1925, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Ranucci) Spolidoro. He was raised and educated in Providence, where he was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. He later moved to Cranston, R.I., where he resided until moving to the City of Attleboro 52 years ago. Mr. Spolidoro was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served on a B24 as a tail gunner during the World War II era. He was employed as a principal engineer, having retired from the Digital Equipment Corporation in Shrewsbury following several years of employment. Previously, Mr. Spolidoro was employed by RCA in Norwood, Northrop in Norwood, and for American Standard in Walpole. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in the Dodgeville section of the City of Attleboro. In earlier years, he served as the cub master for the Cub Scouts of America - Pack No. 15 at St. Stephen's Church. An ardent golfer, he enjoyed playing for leagues at Chemawa Golf Course in North Attleboro and treasured the time spent with his "golf buddies." He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars - Post 115 in Attleboro and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks - Lodge No. 1014 in Attleboro. In addition to his loving wife of 53 years, he leaves three much loved children: Linda M. Seyboth and her husband Jeffrey Seyboth of Seekonk, Ann-Marie R. Angevine of Attleboro, and Michael Spolidoro and his wife Dawn (Knobel) Spolidoro of Attleboro; seven cherished grandchildren: Kyle Seyboth, Ryan Seyboth, Megan Seyboth, Krista Angevine, Deric Spolidoro, Jordin Spolidoro and Sarina Spolidoro; and several extended family members and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Edward Spolidoro and Victor Spolidoro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation with Veteran's Honors on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave. (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at top of exit, proceed 3/4 mile, on the left), Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. ( McLane) Forget, 97, formerly of 21 Maple St., Attleboro, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, N.H. She was the wife of the late Julien N. Forget; they were married for over 73 years before he passed away in 2004. She was born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Joseph & Rose ( Plante) McLane. She was a homemaker. Florence has lived in Attleboro all of her life, a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, she was very involved with bingo at the church, and she helped run bingo as well, for many years. She was a recipient of the Marian Medal Award from the Fall River Diocese. She is survived by three sons: Adrien Forget of Old Town, Maine, Arthur J. Forget of Salisbury, Md., and David Forget of Buzzards Bay, Mass. She was the grandmother of 21, great-grandmother of 36, and the great-great-grandmother of 22. She was the mother of the late Armand Forget, and the late Florence McCarthy. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. in the Foley-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St., Attleboro, Mass. Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro. Pam Heinz, 66 CONWAY, S.C. - Pam Heinz, 66, wife of the late Thomas A. Heinz, of Ashwood Circle, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at Conway Medical Center. Pam was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Clinton Edward Ainsworth and Alicia Marie Brannigan Ainsworth. She retired as a public school teacher in Attleboro, Mass., with 35 years in the school system. Pam was in the Stone-E-Lea Golf League for 30 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt, who loved spending time with her family. Surviving are two sons, Michael Heinz of Conway, S.C., and T.C. Heinz of Mobile, Ala.; three stepdaughters, Torrey Stanoch of Farmington, Minn., Tiffany Heinz of Apple Valley, Minn., and Tracey Dischinger of Lakeville, Minn; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Pat Gamboa and Penny Smith, both of Seekonk, Mass. A Celebration of life for Pam and her husband Thomas will be held Monday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Seekonk. Peter Barton Flynn March 20, 1943 - October 2, 2009 SARASOTA, Fla. - Peter Barton Flynn, 66, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Norton, Mass., died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 at Tidewell Hospice House, Sarasota, Fla. He was born in Northampton, Mass., and was the son of the late Stanley J. Flynn and Helen (Bignell) Flynn. He grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Norton High School. He was self-employed as a toolmaker for 30 years. He was a member of St. James Masonic Lodge in Mansfield, Mass. Peter had many interests and enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, and was an avid reader. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Beverly (Pimental) Flynn; his sisters, Susan (Flynn) Reed and her husband Robert of Attleboro, and Jane Flynn of Norton; and a brother, Thomas "TJ" Flynn of Norton.
