Donald William Fraenkel, 70

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Donald William Fraenkel, 70, of Hunts Bridge Road died in his home on Monday morning, Oct. 26, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary (Schwab) Fraenkel for over 36 years.

Born July 17, 1939 in Providence, RI, he was a son of Dorothy (Conway) Dolan of Warwick and the late Donald Fraenkel.

Donald bred and showed German shepherds for many years and along with his wife owned the Animal Inn in North Attleboro since 1984. He had a great love for animals and was a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Rhode Island and the American Kennel Club.

Donald also loved muscle cars; over the years he owned many cars from his most recent purchase, a 1970 Oldsmobile 442, to a 1969 GTO and a 1967 Mustang Fastback. He loved going to as many cruise nights as possible and especially loved going to the North Attleboro Firefighter's Kids Day cruise night each summer.

Donald loved playing cards and making trips to Foxwoods Casino as well as playing horseshoes at the Elks Lodge.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters, Dona Fraenkel of Dorchester, Karen Kemp and her husband, Mark of Marshfield, Jodi Fraenkel of Plymouth and Johannah Fraenkel of North Attleboro; a son, Peter Fraenkel and his wife, Sandra (Rodas) Fraenkel of Attleboro; three sisters, Dorothy Fraenkel of Warwick, RI, Sharon Muldowney and her husband, Arthur of Killingsworth, CT and Patricia Mathewson and her husband, Charles of Kingston, RI; and three grandchildren, Michael Bowen of Marshfield, Nicole Kemp of Marshfield and Maryana Fraenkel of Attleboro.

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 in St. Mary's Church, 141 Park St., North Attleboro at 11 a.m. followed by burial in the Rhode Island National Cemetery, Exeter, RI at 1:30 p.m.

Alfred George Bolduc, 89

SORRENTO, Fla. - Mr. Alfred George Bolduc, of Sorrento, Fla., passed away on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis and his son, Stephen. Please contact Stephen at 352-383-7821 for information.

Rita Viola Provost, 82

WOONSOCKET, R.I. - Rita Viola (Lamoureux) Provost, 82, of Mendon Road, Woonsocket, Rhode Island; died on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island following a period of declining health. She was the wife of Roland G. Provost.

Born in North Attleboro, Massachusetts on August 6, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Lillian (LaChapelle) Lamoureux. She was a resident of Woonsocket, Rhode Island for the past six years and previously resided in Somerset, Cumberland, South Attleboro, Attleboro and North Attleboro.

Mrs. Provost was employed as an assembler for many years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro prior to her retirement.

Many years ago, she was a volunteer leader for the Girl Scouts of America.

Her family was of the utmost importance to her, and she treasured the time spent in the company of her cherished family.

She was an ardent bridge player.

In addition to her husband she leaves six children: Laurent Provost in Maine; Michele Till of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; Jeanne Greenleaf of Attleboro; Lynette Curry of Attleboro; Denis Provost of Somerset and Alfred Provost of Attleboro; 12 grandchildren; seven, soon to be nine, great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Booth of Wrentham and Florence DeFeo in Virginia; two brothers, Donald Lamoureux and Paul Lamoureux; and several extended family members and dear friends.

She was the grandmother of the late Jaime Provost and was the sister of the late Francis Lamoureux, Victor Lamoureux and Ernest Lamoureux.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of her life on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the Harvest Community Church, 60 North Main St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
