North Attleboro - John and Patricia (McGunigle) Clinton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 12. The couple married on that date in 1959 at St. Monica's Church in South Boston.

A native of Roslindale, John is a U.S Navy veteran and retired from Boston Edison after 38 years of service.

Born in South Boston, Patricia graduated from Boston Clerical School and is a retired homemaker.

The couple has five children: Lee Ann and Raymond Spooner of Pawtucket, R.I.; John and Lee Clinton of Charlotte, N.C.; Michael and Stacey Clinton of North Attleboro; Kathy and Glenn Wojcik of Bellingham; and Jean and Stephen Muniz of Gloucester.

They are Nana and Papa to 13 grandchildren: Ryan and Megan Spooner; Delaney, Timothy, Jameson, Reghann and Cassidy Clinton; Emily Clinton; Nolan and Grant Wojcik; Caroline, Cameron and Caitlyn Muniz.
