ATTLEBORO - Regulars at Morin's Hometown Bar & Grill are usually tuned in to local sports teams playing on the tube. But next Monday night, instead of watching Monday Night Football, the channel will be changed at 10 p.m. to the Food Network so patrons can get a taste of Billy Morin's cooking session with Guy Fieri, host of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Fieri was in town for the taping of the segment at Morin's in July when Morin, who has worked at the family-owned restaurant for 40 years, cooked up three dishes, including corned beef and cabbage. Morin's is holding a viewing party starting at 9 p.m., with complementary hors d'oeuvres. For anyone wanting to attend the screening, reservations must be made by Saturday by calling 508-222-9875 or e-mailing Ann@Morins1911.com. Morin said he served up some chuckles as well as the corned beef and cabbage during the taping at the downtown restaurant, at one point donning a Polynesian shirt and shades a-la-Fieri. Morin said Fieri, who hosts three shows on the Food Network and owns three restaurants, "liked the fisherman's stew" and "was very complimentary about the boiled New England dinner and French meat pie." The diner, started in 1911 on Mill Street, was chosen for the segment as a "viewer's choice."
