Mansfield - Roy and Thelma (Walker) Wentzell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 11. The couple married on that day in 1959 at St. Mary's Church in Mansfield.

A party, hosted by their children, was held for 70 guests at the Bristol Lodge in North Attleboro.

The couple has five children: Stephen Wentzell of Ayer, Linda Prew of Mansfield, John Wentzell of Cumberland, R.I., Daniel Wentzell of Mansfield and Eric Wentzell of Boston. They also have six grandchildren: Mark and Michael Prew, and Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan and Kendra Wentzell.

Roy, originally from Norton, retired from Ark-Les Corp. in Stoughton, while Thelma, a Mansfield native, retired from Mansfield Bank.
