Foxboro teen charged in fatal Rhode Island crash

FOXBORO - A Foxboro teen was charged with drunk driving, death resulting, after a passenger in his car was killed in an early morning crash on Route 10 in Cranston.
Sonny Pham, 19, of 22 Hartwell St. in Foxboro, was to be arraigned today in Third District Court in Warwick, R.I.
Rhode Island State Police said Pham's car crashed through a median about 1:30 a.m.
The crash occurred as Pham's car was heading south on the highway and entered the northbound lane, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
Erica Rose, 19, of Coventry, R.I., a rear seat passenger, was killed.
A second passenger, Valerie Goulet, 19, of Milford, suffered injuries that authorities said were not life threatening.
State police said none of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

This is precisely why the citizens within the Sun Chronicle community should stay on the offensive and keep reporting the under aged drinking parties that are going on around them.
While we haven't read about those arrests around here for the past few months, doesn't mean that the idea has been abandoned forever either.
Obviously there is some serious dialog taking place around here now. Let us all hope that it never ends. "
