The obituary that was published on Sunday, November 15 was Edward Joseph Sr., 74, of North Adams.

NORTH ADAMS — Edward Joseph Carsno Sr., 74, of 35 Yale St., died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 at his home.

He was born in North Adams on Dec. 14, 1934, son of Harold L. Carsno Sr. and Florence (Duverney) Carsno. He attended North Adams schools.

Edward was last employed by Modern Aluminum Anodizing. Before that, he worked in environmental services at a hospital in Walpole.

He lived in Attleboro for many years until returning to North Adams in 1994. He attended the First Baptist Church.

Edward enjoyed building model ships. He was a die-hard fan of the New England Patriots and New York Yankees.

Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Botelho, whom he married Sept. 13, 1991; one son, Harold E. Carsno of North Adams; four daughters: Kathleen Park of Williamstown, Sharon Munger of Franklin, and Andrea Stever and April Lynn Smith of North Adams; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Elizabeth Jordan, Phyllis LaPine and Margaret MacDonald, all of North Adams.

A son and two daughters are deceased: Edward J. Carsno Jr., Terri Lynn Carsno, and Lisa M. Carsno. Three brothers and one sister are also deceased: Catherine Beliveau, and Harold Jr., Leo, and Ralph.

The funeral for Edward Carsno will be Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Donations may be made to the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
