Local obituaries were published on Sunday, Nov. 22 for: Clara M. Landry, 81, of Attleboro; Stanley F. Ravinski of Franklin, formerly of Norfolk; Annette Smith, 62, of Harrison, Maine; and Joseph V. Fountain, 82, of Plainville.

Clara M. Landry, 81

ATTLEBORO - Clara M. Landry, 81, of Garfield Avenue, Attleboro, died on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham. She was the beloved wife of 59 years of J. Arthur Landry.

Born in Rumford, Maine on Dec. 22, 1927, she was a loving daughter of Dwight and Gertrude (Perrin) Lamb.

A longtime resident of Gorham, N.H., she had owned and operated Claire's Beauty Shop on Main Street for a period of 30 years. She was a former member of TOPS, in the Gorham Chapter, and of The Business and Professional Women's Club of Berlin and Gorham. She was active with her faith and had been a lay minister at the Holy Family Church in Gorham, and at St. Joseph's Church in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was also very caring for the needs of others, and had enjoyed being a volunteer with Hospice in Tampa, Fla.

She is survived by her husband, and was the loving mother of Kerry and her husband Clay Conard of Plainville, and Leslie Landry of Melrose; and the dear sister of Alice Baker of Newton, N.H., Georgia Hersey of Livermore Falls, Maine, George Lamb of Wilton, Maine, and the late Dwight Lamb Jr. She was the devoted grandmother of Bethany Lotfi of Plainville and Betsy Varian of Sebasco, Maine, and also leaves six great-grandchildren.

There are no services planned at this time, and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Gorham, N.H. Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Center.

Stanley F. Ravinski

FRANKLIN - Stanley F. Ravinski of Glen Meadow Road in Franklin died on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009.

He was the loving and devoted husband of Rita (Sevigny) Ravinski, whom he married on Sept. 2, 1939.

Born in Cambridge on Dec. 19, 1914, he was a devoted son of the late Felix and Frances (Lubinski) Ravinski. Educated in Walpole public schools, he was a graduate of the Walpole High School, and from Boston Trade School.

A former longtime Norfolk resident, he had lived in Norfolk for 25 years and also had a home in East Falmouth. He and his wife Rita have lived in Franklin for the past year and a half.

He was employed prior to retirement as a carpenter for the F.W. Woolworth chain, where he was principally involved in building their stores. He was a member of the Boston Carpentry Union for over 15 years, and had also been an independent contractor while a resident of Norfolk.

A Communicant of St. Jude's Church in Norfolk, he had served as president of the Church Men's Club. He was a former volunteer firefighter within the Town of Norfolk and had served as an auxiliary policeman. In addition to being survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, he is also survived by his loving children: Sheila R. and her husband Stephen J. Oliva of Wrentham, Stanley P. Ravinski of Franklin, and Richard Ravinski of Miami, Fla. He was the dear brother of Albert Ravinski of Norfolk, Helen Rockiki of Norfolk, Mary Bannon of Wrentham, and Irene Kazuschyk and Sophia Swenson, both of Franklin.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church, 86 Main St., Norfolk.

Burial will be the Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Monsignor Peter Conley will be the clergy officiating. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Center.

Annette Smith, 62

HARRISON, Maine - Annette Smith, 62, of Deertrees Road, died unexpectedly Friday morning, Nov. 20, 2009 at her residence.

She was born in Attleboro on March 22, 1947, a daughter of Leo and Ruth Boule.

Annette was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and moved to Maine in 2001.

She was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved to go dancing. In earlier years, Annette owned a stock car and often raced at the Norwood Arena.

She spent the latter part of her life loving and caring for her two grandsons whom she thought the world of. Surviving are her husband, Leslie of Harrison; her daughter, Kellie Smith Howard and husband Dan of Harrison; her mother; her brother Paul Boule and his wife Nancy of Sebago, Maine; two grandsons: Rhys and Chace Howard of Harrison; her special little friend, David Dyer; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be Monday, Nov. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco, Maine.

A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bridgton, Maine. Following the Mass, a reception will be held at the American Legion Hall on Route 11 in Naples, Maine.

Joseph V. Fountain, 82

PLAINVILLE - Joseph V. Fountain, 82, of Harvard Street, Plainville, died on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 in Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy L. (Legare) Fountain, who died in 1999.

Born in Providence on Sept. 17, 1927, he was a son of the late Jesse and Isabella Mary (Powers) Fountain. He was educated in Plainville public schools, and was a longtime Plainville resident.

He was a World War II United States Navy Veteran.

Until retirement, he had been a driver with Anchor Motor Freight. The principal delivery agent for General Motors, he delivered GM cars from the Framingham Terminal to dealerships throughout the State of Maine.

A former Plainville firefighter, he had attained the rank of deputy chief prior to retirement.

He was a member of the Plainville Lions Club.

He is survived by loving daughter Jo Anne Kozak of Plainville, dear son-in-law John Gregson of Douglas, who was predeceased by Mr. Fountain's daughter Debra, and by devoted grandchildren Matthew J. and Erica Pelrine, and great-grandson Jordan Matthew Joseph Pelrine.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, Nov. 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Route 1A, Wrentham Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. in St. Martha's Church, South Street, Route 1A, Plainville.

Burial will be at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Arrangements are in the care of Richard Ross and the RJ Ross Funeral Home, Wrentham Center.
