SEEKONK - Three recruits have graduated from the state fire academy and are now members of the town fire department, Chief Alan Jack announced.
The graduates are Adam Dalessio, Adam Clement and Kory Koster.
They graduated from the 185th class of Massachusetts Firefighter Academy on Nov. 20.
State Fire Marshal Stephen Coan attended the graduation ceremonies to congratulate the recruits.
"This rigorous professional training provides our newest firefighters with the basic skills to perform their jobs effectively and safely," he told them.
At the academy, students learn basic skills they need to respond to fires and to contain and control them, he said.
They are also given training in public fire education, hazardous material incident mitigation, flammable liquids, stress management, water rescue procedures, confined space rescue techniques and rappelling.
The 12-week program for municipal firefighters involves classroom instruction, physical fitness training, firefighting skills training and live fire practice.
