Top Headlines Nancy M. Ruth, 64 NORTH ATTLEBORO - Nancy M. Ruth, 64, of Bayberry Road passed away early Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at Caritas Norwood Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife for over 43 years to Lee Ruth. Born Aug. 3, 1945 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of Jacqueline (Gibeault) Driscoll of North Smithfield, R.I. and the late Leonard Driscoll. Mrs. Ruth lived in North Attleboro for nearly all her life. She was a 1963 graduate of North Attleboro High School, and lived in Pennsylvania from 1966 to 1971. Nancy was a devoted homemaker and loved gardening, reading and bird feeding. She also enjoyed watching cardinals and bluebirds in her yard. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, Kerry Ruth of North Attleboro; three sisters: Kathleen Beauregard of Ithaca, N.Y., Christine Driscoll of Plainville, and Mary Dillon of North Smithfield, R.I.; and two nieces, a nephew and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was mother of the late Sean Ruth, who passed away in 1988, and sister of the late Jacqueline Driscoll, who died in 1978. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, Jan. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls. Stubbs, 91, died on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Guy and Elizabeth (Wilkins) Aylward. Dorothy was born in Perry, Maine on Feb. 11, 1918. She was a graduate of Canton High School and attended both Burdett College in Boston and Middlesex Community College in Bedford. She was a former longtime resident of Canton and has been a Foxboro resident since 1986. Dorothy was a social worker for the Medfield State Hospital for over 10 years. She was a past grand noble of the Rebecca's Lodge in Canton. She was also a member of the Salvation Army at Camp Wonderland in Sharon, Serenading Seniors in Foxboro, past president of the Foxboro Senior Housing Association and a member of the Senior Tenants Association in Foxboro. She was a member of the Friends of Foxboro Seniors Inc. She was a member of Bethany Congregational Church in Foxboro were she was a former deacon, past president of the Women's Union, member of the Afternoon Division and was a teacher for Leisure Learning. Beloved mother of Ellen L. and her husband Paul Dean of Foxboro. Loving grandmother of Jaime E. Dean of Norton. Sister of Guy Aylward Jr. of Florida, Harding Aylward of Florida, and loving aunt of Carol Eckhardt of Walpole. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Jan. 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rock Hill St., Foxboro Center. Interment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
