SEEKONK - The 23rd Annual Save A Pet Society Auction will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Feb. 23-25. The public is welcome to participate with the live audience at the Johnson & Wales Inn or call in bids as they watch the auction on Seekonk Cable TV Channel 9.

The phone number this year will be 508-336-0098, and organizers suggest you write it down somewhere for easy access when auction time comes.

Save A Pet's Web site, www.seekonksaveapet.org, is updated regularly and the public can check on what is being donated for the auction and read more about the organization. Contact e-mail addresses are there as well.

The auction is the largest fundraiser of the year for the local Save A Pet Society. If you have not been contacted and you would like to make a donation of a new item or certificate for the auction, contact the Society.

All the proceeds from the auction are used to support the Seekonk Animal Shelter, buying food for the animals, paying medical bills, and funding programs. Fur Bowl will help Purr-fect Shelter

MILLIS - The Purr-fect Cat Shelter will hold its 6th Annual Fur Bowl bowling fundraiser Sunday, March 7 at Ryan Family Amusements.

Check-in begins at 4 p.m.; bowling will start at 4:30 p.m. Registration of $20 per bowler includes two games of bowling, shoe rental, refreshments and a chance to win one of several raffle prizes.

Prizes will be also be awarded in a variety of categories.
