ATTLEBORO - Paul Heroux, a candidate for state representative, acknowledged Friday that he was briefly in the Navy in 1995, but left before completing basic training.

Heroux is challenging George Ross, a freshman representative, in the Nov. 6 election. The district includes most of Attleboro.

Really?? This is such a big tado about nothing, and does not pass the 'so what' test. If Mr. Ross had agreed to more than 1 debate then perhaps he and his promoters could have gotten this question as well as many more answered. But he, and they, chose to hide behind a montra of being too busy to discuss issues in a public setting. Instead it appears the choice is to try to discredit a good man, who is trying to serve his community, by sniping at him from the shadows and by denying any involvement.
Having said that, Thank you Sun Chronicle for bringing this accusation/insinuation to the public so that we can all see what is going on.
