The former Philadelphia Eagles' defensive tackle spoke with the media for a very brief period Wednesday, and here's a boiled-down version of the brief session that wasn't repetitive:
What's it been like coming here?
Today is my daughter’s fourth birthday, but I felt that today is my birthday, or yesterday was my birthday when I found out that New England called me up. Basically I am enjoying it and I love it.
It’s been a whirlwind for you the last 24 hours.
You all know the meaning of the world ‘hectic,’ right? When I found out yesterday, I was with the Eagles. Then after that, I dove to New Jersey, South Jersey so I could get my stuff. You know that feeling. I was doing the ‘Fast and Furious’ thingie -- even though it was a 50 speed limit, I was going Road Runner speed.
What did you think of coming to the Patriots?
It’s the Patriots, it’s a dream come true, to be honest. We respected these guys. The last 10 years, they won three Super Bowls, and it’s just an awesome feeling.
