We accept electronic files only. No paste-up material.

PREFERRED METHOD: Files sent by email or supplied on ZIP 100 meg disk (Mac or PC), or CD/DVD in pdf format. Fonts MUST be properly embedded in the document. Any color photos used in the document should be in "eps" or “tif” format and in CMYK mode. Photos should done at 200 dpi. and line art at 1200 dpi. Use Postscript fonts only; do not use TrueType fonts.

We reserve the right to substitute any fonts not properly embedded with the closest available font in our library.

QUARK FILES FROM MAC: We accept Quark files (v3.3 or 4.1) on ZIP 100 meg disks or CD/DVD. All fonts and Hi-Res images MUST be included on the disk. Both font components need to be supplied (screen and printer font). No TrueType fonts can be accepted. Any color photos used in the document should be in "eps" or "tiff" format and in CMYK mode. Photos should done at 200 dpi., line art at 1200 dpi. We create pdf files from the Quark originals for pagination.

It is recommended that testing of the files be done prior to us receiving the disk. The document should be opened from the disk on a separate machine and all the links to art should be verified to insure a complete product. We reserve the right to substitute for any font not supplied. It is also recommended that hard copy color photographs be supplied along with the quark document. This allows us to scan the photos ourselves if there is a quality or technical problem.

NOTE: We only accept QuarkXpress files on 100 mb Zip disks or CD rom, not through email.
We do not accept PageMaker or Illustrator files.

Because of the network requirements for our daily paper, we don't accept any fonts not currently on our network. The list below is the available Post Script fonts we can print from a QuarkXpress file. If your document requires fonts not listed here, a pdf will be the only menthod we can accept. Remember, DO NOT use True Type or any other font type.
