 MANSFIELD —Detective Sgt. Ron Sellon, a 17-year veteran of the police department, has been appointed to be the town’s new police chief, Town Manager William Ross announced Tuesday.

Sellon, who is currently in charge of the detective division, will replace Police Chief Arthur O’Neill. O’Neill is retiring March 31.
