Robert Savoy, 87, of Sandwich, formerly of Foxboro, passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Oct. 19, 2018. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mildred Savoy.

Born in Waltham on July 7, 1931, he was the son of Frank and Elsa (Teurke) Savoy. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country honorably in the Korean War. Robert worked for many years at the former Alden Engineering in Foxboro and ultimately retired from the Franklin Public School System in 1998. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He most enjoyed spending quality time with his family and dogs, camping, fishing and watching sports.

Robert is survived by his children, Michael Savoy of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Wendy Hachey and her husband Mark of Cumberland, R.I., Eric Savoy and his wife Denise of Bronxville, N.Y., and Jason Savoy and his wife Stephanie of Sandwich; nine grandchildren, Bobby and his wife Karen, Andy, Ryan, Tyler, Shannon, Alex, Shane, Elizabeth and Matthew; and three great-grandchildren, Adrianna, Brady, and Cameron.

He was the father of the late Brenda Savoy.

Robert was predeceased by his siblings, Frank Bilodeau of Texas, Philip Savoy of Maine and Richard Savoy of Waltham.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., in Foxboro.

A funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxboro.
