She did report to me that her brother who was battling cancer had passed away. All though it's been a few months since I've spoken to her if you are reading this Kay I hope you and your daughter are doing well.Terry talking about albums and turn tables which I just recently got rid of a menber of our community still has his whole collections of 8 track tapes. Not only that he has a player that works and still listens to them. How cool is that. I believe he has about 200 of them which takes up the whole side of one room in his house. lol lol Times and things sure have changed since I was a kid. It wouldn't surprise me that in the next few years that someone will invent an earing that that you will be able to download songs on so you won't have carry an Ipod or wear ear plugs to listen to your music. Hence, he needs to be on a leash and I decided that was best for him. Debbie and Heather have done everything that they were asked to do in order to ensure that all requirements were met. But I would like to propose another scenario here. Since I live on Neponset Resevoir and it is a year round place of activity should I have the right to sue the town because I wake up at 4:00am in the Spring to hear men/women fishing right outside my windows and talking like it is noon time? Should I get angry and go before the Selectman and demand that the boater's in the summer cease their boating at darkness because it disturbs me? What about the snowmobile riders who choose to ride across the ice at all hours of the day and night? NO way! We have been a community of people working out issues together or at least that is the way it used to be...before some Selectmen decided they knew best. Sad day for Foxboro. For those of us that used it, what a wonderful way to meet new friends and have our dogs exercise and socialize. For the record, I never heard excessive barking nor did I see unsanitary conditions. I was told that before the dog park, it was a teen hangout with vandalism. Debbie and Heather brought in new picnic tables and we were talking about new plantings. Fresh pine bark was brought in, smelled better than any yard I know! The most noise I heard was from the Gun Club and the neighbor that continued to harass everyone with his vulger language. Now with the allegation that a child was bitten, very funny no record, nothing submitted to the police or dog officer. Somthing does not smell right to me and it is not the dog park.

Blow on the PUNK and light the fuse. Toss it towards the feet of your pal and never into the air around people.
There also were 5 inch firecrackers that were placed inside topless cans with bottomsides up. When these were lit, you could count on a 10 to 20 foot high propelled rocket (can). We also had those meatball size aluminum paper wrapped explosives that were best used in the tunnel at the railroad station or while walking under the Park St rairoad arch.

We would run through the halls with the janitor chasing us. We'd have to be careful not to end up at one of those locked gates going across the hall. Of course, back then, there were no surveillance cameras or electronic door passes. We never did any damage, we just ran for the fun of someone chasing us. Just past La Salette, down off of Wilmarth, they called that "CB City" because of the vast number of houses that had huge towers with beam antennas sticking out from their roofs and backyards. It became an ego trip and they all began adding power to their signals to talk over one another. The competition got so fierce amongst them that many upgraded their equipment with power amps and other electronics that would allow them to "key over" the others. That would last until the other neighbor went out and bought a bigger antenna with a bigger amplifier. My Dad and I would drive down through that neighborhood just to see all of the huge moonrakers and quad antennas all pointed at each other. Many a neighborhood relationship was ruined with that as no one within a mile radius could watch their TV sets without a CB radio coming through it.

Happy New Year to all. " lonicutter wrote on Dec 30, 2007 11:34 AM: " Back in 1971 when the new Schaefer Stadium opened, my parents bought 5 season Patriot tickets. We sat in the first 5 seats of the first row in the first endzone section, right where the Patriots came out of the locker room to warm up. For years during football season, our family spent Sundays tailgating in Foxboro. At 9am, my Ma would start cooking inside the camping trailer that we pulled up there with the Malibu, while me and my Dad would play catch in the parking lot. Jim Plunkett never fulfilled our expectations but we didn't care. So what if they lost every week? So what if it rained and snowed? So what??? We were making family memories with OUR NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS! Well, my Dad is gone now and my Ma isn't cooking too much these days down in FLorida. Dad didn't get to see Tom Brady play or hoist any of the Lombardi Trophies over his head...but it doesn't take away from all those great times that we sat on that cold aluminum bleacher seat and talked with John Hannah and Leon Gray while they stretched out before the game. For all of you Patriot fans who never got to go to a game in the old staduim: Enjoy Tom and the trophies for now, because it hasn't always been like this and it won't stay like this forever. Mr. Kraft: Thank you for being one of the old-time, original fans! " Gailann Newton wrote on Dec 24, 2007 4:43 PM: " Merry Christmas to all my family and friends in the Attleboro area. All walks and drives
And I still can't see the ground.
I've done the calculations
With help from the Internet
Our weather history is clear
Temperatures are documented
But I don't see the ground just yet.
I've heard debates, both pro and con
About what mankind's harming
While researchers study atmosphere
Down here, we're still huddling
Against this "global warming".

As Governor he did the best he could to control taxes, limit spending, reduce the loss of entry level jobs to illegal immigrants, and keep English the language of education. He wanted to take down the toll booths on the turnpike, and save us all money by closing the Turnpike authority and giving the responsibility to the highway dept. When the awful Big Dig ceiling collapse happened, he showed true leadership and took Matt Amarello to task. He would have gotten more done if it wasn't for the intrenched power of the liberal legislature who are addicted to tax money and want to continue nanny statism. Also, it isn't so much about what he accomplished as much as what he prevented. Now we have a political clueless governor that wants to spend and spend to help his union buddies and that buys votes in the legislature. Mitt is an independently wealthy family man of faith and is not in politics for the money. He is a rare kind of politician, a true public servant who wants to secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our Posterity. Up on Ide's hill before the water tank was built and back in the 1880's a gunfight took place between two groups of men. It raged on and ended up down around Newport Ave where the driving range was. One group was from Pawtucket. The reason for it was vague, but you can read about it in the old newspapers. There also was a small house on Snell St where a man hung himself in the cellar back in the 30's, and many thought it was haunted. Fred Lehr owned the Twilight Shop. I one year we had a costume contest...had no money for a costume at all, but my mother who knitted all yr round had a ton..I mean TON of yarn! So we took a ton of lt. brown yarn and stitched together a "Cousin It" with glasses and hat etc from the tv show "The Adams Family" I felt to stupid! Warm, but stupid...I didn't let anyone know it was me until the end of the costume party...It was anounced the top winner was the "Cousin It" Costume and was in shock! They were shocked when I popped out from out of all that yarn! Anyway, I won a bunch of cool scout stuff and winning a girlscout purse was a big deal to me back then...it was equal to winning a Coach bag back then.LOL! Ya know what I mean Terry?! Terry and Paula know! " zazz64 wrote on Oct 17, 2007 8:52 AM: " Terry & Paula: Did you guys have the little bron beanie hat? I had that in brownies, I had the green hat in girlscouts. I still have my plywood 'key' project we made in her kitchen and I always looked forward to the fresh home-baked cookies (and Kool-Aid in dixie cups) she treated us with at the end of our meets. Funny the stuff you remember, but Mrs R had a wicked sense of humor and was a natural teacher/leader and her daughter Susan was sort of the class brainiac and was very much the super-serious/studious quiet type...I just thought she was mad because she was born a girl instead of being one of lucky boys...lol " kayaksue wrote on Oct 17, 2007 6:25 AM: " Hi Terry...I have two musical carosels(sp?) that I bought at the Curly Caterpillar. There are very few people that read this guestbook who really care what anyone who posts on it have to say unless they are interested in that specific topic.
