" Hi All! I was just home in Attleboro for a looong weekend. Every time I come home it looks different. I just missed the PA BBQ too. Good memories there. Hey Jim! You sure did put Facebook front and center. I have never been on FaceBook, or My Space, or Twitter...and am very glad I didn't! I see there are bad people mining those sites for personal info. I still only have a cell phone that just dials, rings, and texts. That's enough for me. And I stil bank by paper check...cuz if any of you have seen "Live free or Die" with Bruce Willis, you'll know its gonna be paper that saves us all if technology don't!
Anyhoo, I hope to be back when the leaves change. That's still the only time I get homesick. I still miss all the New England colors. Only up north can it look that way. VA ain't got it. and that clean mountain air coming down from New Hampster...aaaahhhhhhh... "

" Just a couple of comments...I was shocked at JT's death. I hadn't been to him for years. He did my hair for my wedding 24 years ago. He did a great job and was the most entertaining stylist I ever met. I remember the love he had for his wife and kids(when they were born, and when they were babies). It's so sad how lives can change.

On a lighter note...I was sitting with friends (many years ago) at the Portuguese BBQ when a group of guys walked out of the woods. They were not using the woods as a toilet because they walked behind a large refrigerator truck, faced it, and peed in tandem...only they didn't realize how high the truck body was, so anyone looking their way got a clear view. It's been a memory that brings a hearty laugh to my friends and me!

I don't visit too often because of all the negativity, but it's nice to see some interesting comments. "

" Tree hugger I wish there was. !!! Most of us that have gone over to face book have just done the axcept friend thing and exchange messages or we will post something on a wall and everyone that is listed as friends can go there and make coments. They do have an area that you can go to and start a group thing and as long as your a member of that group you can post there. The only problem with that is you can't monitor it and stop it from turning into what happened on this site { guestbook }. Not sure what the answer is but maybe we can start our own little group between friends and get something started like that. It's hard cause all it takes is one bad apple to spoil it there to. maybe we can think about it and come up with a solution. There are ways to group your friends and make it so only they see what's posted I think. Will look into it I think though you have to use your real name in order to register there and I remember you saying that you really didn't wamt to do that on the guestbook cause there were some whacko's out there who might use your personal info against you or to find you. You can always send me a message there for sure though and maybe we can figure out how to get something going TTYS Jim "

" Treehugger. Most people are on facebook now a days. I talk with a least 8-9 people there. It's set up different then here. There are some chat groups but most are just listed as friends on each others site. it also give you the benifit of deleting anyone you don't want to talk to and you only have to except the friends you want so you can talk to those you want to and not to those that drive you crazy. It's easy and free. the best part of all is if your talking with someone you don't know and they turn out to be an A hole you just delete them from your list. That easy. You can also do what they call pop out chat and carry on a conversation live. It's really nice site, but like all there are so do's and don'ts. If you get on someone there will help you out with how and what. Hope that helps you Jim hathaway "

The skits were fresh, funny, and very good. The new production staff did an amazing job!! FYI - Mom is Mae West, her solo skit - as well as another skit with the SC's own Mr. D'Arconte proposing marriage! For those of you who missed it, the play will be broadcast on the local channel on your cable system soon. Mayor Dumas showed his versatility by cartwheeling across the stage, as well as dancing in a send-up of the Grapevine Grapes. John Lepper was insane as always...you all have got to see him and MaryLee doing Elton John and Kiki Dee! I had the privledge of partying with the cast after the play Saturday night, at the Moose Cabin. I got to know Mayor Kevin up close. I really like him. He is my "Brush with faaaaaame!" ;o) Mom drove back to VA with me, as the DC Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is tomorrow (Sat). We go to the Marriott Metro Center for breakfast, then walk down to Constitution Ave to the Parade. The Street Festival is after that, with all kinds of food, music, orgami demonstrations...it is an event I look forward to all year. Happy Spring! "

There were always people picnicking; and others who set up folding lawn chairs next to their cars. Here is a picture of the back of the screen at Boro Drive-In.
http://www.drive-ins.com/imagesdi/ma/matboro005.jpg

Those were the days all right. There's nothing quite like the experience of going to a drive-in, these days I mean. Originally, a movie's sound was provided by speakers on the screen and later by a heavy individual speaker hung from the window of each car, which would be attached by a wire. People used to take off without removing from the speaker from the window. Finally the broadcasting of the movie's soundtrack was initiated at a low output power on AM or FM Radio to be picked up by the car radio.

Another incidental thing about drive-ins was the fact that they gave rise to crappy (but hilariously badly made) low-budget movies. "

" I remember going to the Boro Drive-In on Rte.1 right where the Christmas tree shop is now in my pajamas in the back of the station wagon. It seemed that ALL the little kids were in their pajamas, riding the swings that were right underneath the screen which was located on the Cumberland St. side, facing north. My Dad and Ma used to take me and my 2 sisters and fold the back seat down, then put all our pillows and blankets in the back. There was something very calming and safe about being in that back area with our pillows and blankets and usually it wasn't long after the movie came on and the sun went down that we were all fast asleep. It seemed like we were there almost every weekend during the summer. Those are the times that I miss most about being a kid, when we were all together as a family and we didn't have a care in the world. Just thinking about it warms my heart and has me thinking about all those special times. "

Bristol County Fan wrote on Jan 31, 2009 7:53 PM:

" One of the most likable features of the drive-in theater was that it offered both privacy as well as the public lounging/eating area. The effect of this privacy was manifold. For one thing, it put an end to the necessity of having to get all dressed up to go out to the movies.

Furthermore parents could wear their most comfortable and casual clothing and it was not unusual for kids to show up wearing pajamas, since so many would fall asleep before the movie ended. This way the kids were all ready for bed when they got home. "

I was home in Sterling in my blankie with my big-screen...all warm and cozy, having a nice breakfast watching it all where I could see it! If you were here in the area why didnt you call me?? I would have loved to see you after so many years!! I work in the city, so I had already seen the preview of the influx of tourists blocking the fare gates. It was a madhouse Monday, nevermind Tuesday when they ALL were in one place! There were major problems with ticket-holders not even being able to get out of the 3rd St tunnel in time to take their seats. They were furious and cold, not just furious. The DC Govt will be trying to make it up to them, but I really don't see how. They missed seeing it themselves because the Capitol Police got overwhelmed, even though they knew they all were coming. I had a front row seat. Awesome! "

Pretty thrilling for a girl from Attleboro, living only 40 minutes away from all of this. AWESOME!!

It was our "paper store" where we walked to get the Sun Chronicle every evening. It was where the teachers from School Street School (when it was 4 rooms!...boy do I feel old) sent us to get ice cream after staying to help clean erasers and blackboards. It was where Rev Burkey took us for Moxie (not a flavor loved by young girls but we drank it and said "thanks")as a special treat. Half the store was filled with the soda fountain and newspapers and the other half became the liquor store...we weren't allowed in that side. Your grandfather was always there as was Spike Devlin and they were always kind to us. Another memory is going to your grandparents house at Halloween. They always had the best candy...real 5 cent candy bars!!! What a treat. I can picture him so clearly...thanks for that memory. "

I have read the article and although I do not condone their behavior, I was very surprised to read the comments about these men and their circumstances which compelled them to take such drastic measures.

I personally know that one of these men has been homeless for well over 15 years. He lives on the cashing in of aluminum cans and travels by bicycle. He is willing to

work where and when he can and unfortunately has lived through the past several bitter winters out of doors. Spending time incarcerated for alcohol related offenses, has occurred several times over the last few years, which fortunately for Bob, was an imposed de-tox. Essentially, incarceration was a step up as it periodically has provided him with 3 meals and a cot.

All of the comments on your site relative to this situation called for jail time. No one seems to think about the others left unattended living in Attleboro, and many surrounding towns, who live on the generosity of church food pantries. There is no thought to the life of desperate men and women, living behind this supermarket. They are forgotten and left out like the trash "

Also the ice-skating pond on High Street called Titus Pond was a 'wicked blast.'

One winter way back when, I can recall when some well meaning person attempted to plow the snow off of the ice and then (surprise!) the vehicle sank down about halfway in the middle of the pond and stayed there for weeks. I do not however have fond memories of sitting on those freezing bleachers at the always windy Sullivan Stadium during the cold months; although it was great sport to watch Jim Plunket and the gang giving their all.

Can anybody remember an old guy named Beak who ran the news and candy store downtown in NA? I cannot recall his last name or the name of the store but a great old guy Beak was indeed. He used to give us grade-schoolers like 15 or 25 cents to do easy odd jobs in the store and then pay us off in candy. Then when you got a little older he'd give us jobs in the basement of the store "inserting" ad pages the local newspapers in order to get then ready for the delivery boys after school got out. "

He always yelled "Ron" whenever I walked in and always was a great person talk to. He was a good listener and totally down to earth. We had our share of many good times. YOUR TURN: View from a downtown landlord

As a downtown building owner I would like to add to the observations in "That empty feeling downtown" (March 16). I am the owner of the Sanford Building, located on the corner of Park and North Main - the infamous empty corner unit that unfortunately seems to have become a symbol of the downtown.

Hillary has never had her people defined as a non-person." In other sermons Obama's Rev. Jeremiah Wright the former member of Obama's African American Religious Leadership Committee also stated. "We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," he said. "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant. " I am also distressed that a court has ordered the dog park closed at this time. As Lynne Cullen has stated the park was clean and a wonderful place for dogs to socialize as well as their owners. I only used the park twice as my dog does not follow commands well and it was not fair to the other well behaved dogs to deal with him. Hence, he needs to be on a leash and I decided that was best for him. Debbie and Heather have done everything that they were asked to do in order to ensure that all requirements were met. But I would like to propose another scenario here. Since I live on Neponset Resevoir and it is a year round place of activity should I have the right to sue the town because I wake up at 4:00am in the Spring to hear men/women fishing right outside my windows and talking like it is noon time? Should I get angry and go before the Selectman and demand that the boater's in the summer cease their boating at darkness because it disturbs me? What about the snowmobile riders who choose to ride across the ice at all hours of the day and night? NO way! We have been a community of people working out issues together or at least that is the way it used to be...before some Selectmen decided they knew best. Sad day for Foxboro. "

For those of us that used it, what a wonderful way to meet new friends and have our dogs exercise and socialize. For the record, I never heard excessive barking nor did I see unsanitary conditions. I was told that before the dog park, it was a teen hangout with vandalism. Debbie and Heather brought in new picnic tables and we were talking about new plantings. Fresh pine bark was brought in, smelled better than any yard I know! The most noise I heard was from the Gun Club and the neighbor that continued to harass everyone with his vulger language. Now with the allegation that a child was bitten, very funny no record, nothing submitted to the police or dog officer. Somthing does not smell right to me and it is not the dog park.

Blow on the PUNK and light the fuse. Toss it towards the feet of your pal and never into the air around people. There also were 5 inch firecrackers that were placed inside topless cans with bottomsides up. When these were lit, you could count on a 10 to 20 foot high propelled rocket (can). We also had those meatball size aluminum paper wrapped explosives that were best used in the tunnel at the railroad station or while walking under the Park St rairoad arch. Then young and old would gather at Capron Park in the evening for the band concert and crackerjacks, followed by the fireworks. This was years before television and the Boston Pops display on the 4th. "

We would run through the halls with the janitor chasing us. We'd have to be careful not to end up at one of those locked gates going across the hall. Of course, back then, there were no surveillance cameras or electronic door passes. We never did any damage, we just ran for the fun of someone chasing us. We would usually end up hiding underneath the stage in the auditorium until we could sneak out of the front door. The funniest part about it was that, both my buddy's parents were teachers at AHS at the time, so, he was really taking a chance running around there. Just past La Salette, down off of Wilmarth, they called that "CB City" because of the vast number of houses that had huge towers with beam antennas sticking out from their roofs and backyards. It became an ego trip and they all began adding power to their signals to talk over one another. The competition got so fierce amongst them that many upgraded their equipment with power amps and other electronics that would allow them to "key over" the others. That would last until the other neighbor went out and bought a bigger antenna with a bigger amplifier. My Dad and I would drive down through that neighborhood just to see all of the huge moonrakers and quad antennas all pointed at each other. Many a neighborhood relationship was ruined with that as no one within a mile radius could watch their TV sets without a CB radio coming through it. (NOTE TO: Larry Adams, aka Captain Obvious. He wanted to take down the toll booths on the turnpike, and save us all money by closing the Turnpike authority and giving the responsibility to the highway dept. When the awful Big Dig ceiling collapse happened, he showed true leadership and took Matt Amarello to task. He would have gotten more done if it wasn't for the intrenched power of the liberal legislature who are addicted to tax money and want to continue nanny statism. It brought back so many memories of Troop 16 based out of St Stephens Church in Dodgeville. We went on some great trips to Camp Norse and on our "50 Miler" up on the Applacian (sp?)Trail in NH and VT. Paul Guadreau Sr and the late great Dick Simkins were the 2 leaders I'll always remember. Great guys, great leaders. The Boy Scouts that were on the trip this past weekend even did a couple "skits" at the late night bon fire that just never get old. I remember our meetings at St Stephens, playing "buck-buck" and will never forget getting "initiated" on my first camping trip away from my parents. Being a parent, I can see why Scouting does help in forming young minds now. It gets back to the old fashioned values and morals. There are too manys friends and memories from Scouts to list. Just a few friends to mention, Paul,Pete and Jon Gaudreau, Tim and Tom Simkins,Steven and Joe LaPalme, my brother Jim Healey, Steve Marquis, Poiriers, Metiviers,Hartvigs,Robbie Duquette, Ernie Brodeur. All great guys from Dodgeville. "

They lived on Spring St and didn't drive (the two aunts anyway) but just walked out to the corner of S.Main and caught the bus that ran from Pawtucket to do their shopping 'upstreet'. When they were kids that was a trolley line they told me many times. They were really tickled when the Fernandes (off S.Main) went in and they could walk to get their weekly grocery shopping done. One lived to be 99 and I think all that walking must've had something to do with it. "

" In the 40's it was called going "upstreet". The Ghetto was called just the project when it was built. A sheriff named Pilblad lived on the corner of Snell and South Ave. Had a huge gun collection. Up on Ide's hill before the water tank was built and back in the 1880's a gunfight took place between two groups of men. It raged on and ended up down around Newport Ave where the driving range was. One group was from Pawtucket. The reason for it was vague, but you can read about it in the old newspapers. There also was a small house on Snell St where a man hung himself in the cellar back in the 30's, and many thought it was haunted. Fred Lehr owned the Twilight Shop. I think Saltzman's was there before. Fred opened the Downunder Lounge where Willy's Bowling Alley was. "

Drove it everywhere! As to uptown, yeah, we used to drive by the common and see the people hanging there...didnt know any of them, tho. Anyhow, it was a very positive experience ... I tried to interest my son when he was 9 or 10 but to no avail. Scary place when you were about 9 or 10. I was surprised, too, to find out later as a young teen-ager that the "East side" was supposedly a crummy part of town...heck, I loved it. Maybe it was a little run-down but the swimming pool there was a lot of fun in the summertime. Re your VW...I lost track of how many of those Danny had owned over the years...seems like there were always one or two in the family during the 70's. Susan B mentioned hanging out at the 'Common'... Who didn't take a ride by there at night after a date or whatever to see who was there? Bored? Nothing to do? Head to the Common. I fondly remember many a quiet, late night conversation with friends, sitting out on the hoods of our cars, all the stores closed and dark and just the sound of an Attleboro cop (tall Norm Lyle?) walking his beat, checking every door and maybe stopping to talk for awhile with the driver of the Houle's cab who usually was parked at the corner next to Heagney's. The SC staff, management, and associated affiliates that produce this forum have been discussing the results of the recent "improvement" of this Guestbook, and how it has become a dismal failure. I truly believe that if these posts continue to be of the content that they have been, we can all say good-bye to the Guestbook for good. I have also received emails from the formerly happy....none of whom visit here anymore. Until this cesspool is drained of its poison, I can only watch it die like an old friend. "

" Larry & Jim. Jim, the last time someone said something you didn't like, you went off the guestbook (your own decision) for a few months, and hid behind someone's apron strings. If you feel that's what you should do again. Go ahead--it just shows you can't hold a REASONABLE CONVERSATION without whimpering like a hurt puppy dog. Larry: Any further response to you about Howard's reasoning for this forum, would have to come from him. But here is what I would say: NO ONE - NO NOT ONE that reads these words, can ever stand before God and say he never HEARD OR READ that abortion is wrong. Every time God spoke of the unborn--he always called them "persons" or "by name", and all the 50 million children who have been aborted have been named by HIM. He knows every one. You asked a question--I answered it--and I am not stuttering! If you want to know more--go to a priest, rabbi, minister, pastor or Laney. They can fill you in with the rest. I hope no one runs to the SC and screams censorship. "

I'm in no way saying that he does not have a right to post here, but there must be some specific reason other than the abortion issue itself. There are very few people that read this guestbook who really care what anyone who posts on it have to say unless they are interested in that specific topic. I have to say that I, for one, am curious as to Mr. Howard's motive to post here, and not at all curious about his opinion on abortion. "

Maybe you should lobby the SC to rename this from the guestbook to Abortion Hot Line. Thinking you might listen or even think about what anyone here has to say was a big waste of my time. You know I taught my girls morals and right from wrong and also not to put them self in a position where things like rape would happen to them. I educated my kids so why should I have to educate everyone elses. And yes I have two wonderful daughters and two great grandsons from one of my daughters. Now any response to this post you can consider it a waste of time cause I will not respond to it anymore. You all have a nice day. They already know that abortion is wrong). So Jim's advice is invalid for all those reasons! HERE are the ones that need to be reminded that abortion is wrong. They ALL base their belief on the first recorded lie in the annals of human history. The lie the serpent told Eve in the Garden of Eden....and guess what? It is almost word for word. "IT'S YOUR BODY EVE, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITH IT YOU WANT, AND GOD WON'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU." That is why they ALL stoop to the personal attacks and want censorship--because they don't prescribe to truth. "

You have zero power over me. You, of all live close enough to face me as I have asked but you avoid that subject. The only One I fear is God as should all of you. As for women understanding abortion and men not. Rubbish. Women, MOTHERS of all people, should be fighting against the slaughter ahead of any of us. Instead many of them declare it their right to kill their own. Terry. Just because some ill conceived law was passed does not make it right. Last but not least, I thank all who have defended me here. I always liked Wed evenings when all the stores stayed open till 9. I remember when the Camera Shop expanded and opened up the downstairs...HO trains and slot cars and Matchbox were big then and I dutifully went in there at least two or three times a week to check out the new stuff. Another regular stop was Bud White's music shop to rifle through the new LP's and 45's. How many kids in Attleboro took music lessons from Bud on the many instruments he played I wonder? You mentioned Ashley's but I liked the fountain at Cooper's better...a big frosted mug of rootbeer with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for 50 cents. Coop's was more of a "man's" place, too, and the smell of the various cigars and pipe tobacco in there must've seriously imprinted on me because to this day - and never having been a smoker either - I still enjoy the smell of lit pipes and cigars. The "horse chestnut on a shoe lace" competition during recess at St. John's and the pleasure of finding more big fat shiny ones on the way home from school. The anticipation of probably a half a pillow case of candy after a long night of trick-or-treating on Haloween and then trading favorites with your brothers and sisters. Going with your Mom to Ann and Hope to buy "winter clothes". Helping your Dad put up those heavy "storm windows" on a Saturday. Collecting for my Sun paper route was on Friday evenings and I always liked the feeling of stepping out of the chilly dusk and into people's warm front hallways or kitchens while they fetched the money; it was a real point of pride when they included a little "tip" for good service. I have never been banned from anything ncluding abortion clinics. I am far from alone. I am not wasting my time by speaking out against abortions in any forum I wish. S.C. allows my postings so why do so many here want me banned? Because they hate the message and the messenger. My family home was in our family until 3 years ago. The kids I knew lived mostly in that neighborhood on either Woodbine St., Greenwich St. and from the Mendon Rd. area. I came from a large family and my maiden name was Roy. We had no fear back then and the whole neighborhood was our playground. I made my First Communion, Confirmation and got married at St.Theresa's Church. We also learned how to swim at the Lee's Pond pool and went ice skating on Cranberry Pond. As Brownie's and Girl Scouts we marched in the Memorial Day parade, laid a wreath at the Newell Burial Ground and then back to the American Legion. As I have written before, I have planted some strong roots here in NH, but the original seed was planted in South Attleboro. "

Rancor was hurled at the one they did hate, Because of his wish that babies would be born, live, grow and date. He just couldn't fathom how life here had changed, How seemingly sane people now talked as if deranged. How they just did not care that abortion was rife, As long as their "rights" were with them for life. The guestbook heated up when such things were said, But "H.W.S.R.N." would not give up.....,instead. The guestbook was changed by the on line guru, Now no more "pen names" would be coming thru. Now it was the time print your own name, To say who you were when you put someone to shame. So the guestbook has suffered, The postings are few, What has become of the hate bashing crew? Maybe they will find courage to return to the site, To I.D. who they are and continue the fight. So without opposition my message is sent, Babies should live and gays should repent...... "

" I have many memories of growing up in North Attleboro back in the 40's & 50's. A lot of them I have shared here in the guestbook. I have also made comments on my beliefs which many of you took umbrage to. I don't say I am sorry for I am not sorry for my beliefs which include that unborn babies should b e born and live. I DO say that I thank God every day that Terry is not among my memories of the area. Rough enough having to deal with her and her demeanor here. So saddle up folks and enjoy the NEW guestbook..... "

" As many of you know, there is a recall election on October 29 for Christopher Morra, one of our selctman. I have no comment on this election. My question is to the Sun Chronicle, why did specific articles regarding him and the police mysteriously disappear from archives over the past day or so? Coincidence? "

" I had to laugh the other day as my North Carolina born and raised son was on the computer ordering his high school ring. As I walked by I casually asked "you getting it from Josten's or Balfour's?" He answered with "how did you know that?" I came back with "...just took a wild guess". I know that both companies are gone now but I always took a lot of pride in the fact that I was from "The Jewelry Capital of the World". When I was in the service (late 60's) I noted that many of our USMC metal insignia was stamped 'Antaya Bros' on the back...they were owned by my great uncle and his two sons and located on either Holman or Falmout St...forget now. My first real full-time job was at Swanks, working the 3-11 shift (after school!) in the automatic engraving dept. I was 15 and lied about my age to get hired (easy back then) and worked till I saved up the $500 that my first car cost me. I wish I could remember some of the older gals I worked with (old to me, they were probably in their forties) as they made the evening go by fast with their constant chatter and good natured humor and gentle barbs...mostly directed at me because I could never even come close to matching their speed and dexterity on the machines. " Greetings from New Hampshire. The leaves are already starting to change. Slowly, but still changing. Snow already on Mt.Washington. I have always enjoyed reading the guestbook whether I agreed with what was written or not. I did not get too involved with the ugliness as it really was nothing I was interested in. I really like commenting and reading about South Attleboro. I grew up in the south end and I miss it terribly though I have put down some pretty strong roots here in NH. I have lived here for 25 years and love it. I have lots of family and friends in the Attleboro area including in Pawtucket, RI also and try to get down to visit at least once a month. My old neighborhood was in the St.Jean's Plat area off of Mendon Road. Great place to grow up. Registering to comment is no big deal. I did not mind it at all. Have a wonderful day! "

" The first entry in the "new" guestbook is blaming Mr. Howard??? GET OFF THE GUY'S BACK AND WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF FOR A CHANGE! If Rich feels the need to post what he does who the hell are you to say he shouldn't be here? That's right....you are no one. Try this Terry...MYOB and keep your insults to yourself. I'm sick of your crap. And, NO, I am not Rich Howard, not do I know him personally. I'm just fed up with those of you who can't "live and let live". GROW UP or go somewhere else. YOU are the all of the other nosey busy-bodies are the reason this guestbook is no longer enjoyable. I don't care if you like Rich Howard or what he has to say. I don't care if you like me or what I have to say either, but try minding your own business for a change and keep your persoanl comments to yourself. Ok, SC, I guess we'll have to start the guestbook over AGAIN because Terry ruined it. "

" I just want to comment on the 10th of September article where the Academy Building is getting a grant for $50,000. If its the building on Sanford Street (address wasn't mentioned in article)--IT'S ABOUT TIME! I lived next door at 32 Sanford for 10 years, and always admired the Academys architecture. That is what I miss about the Attleboro area the most--the many different styles of buildings/homes, and the pride of the owners to maintain them well. To David at SC: I just hope you don't censor anyone because you don't agree with the subject matter of the individual--as others would have you do....it has already been stated on here that "NO ONE will ever make them think different." Thank you "

" "WE"? What is this "WE" garbage? Is there a mouse in your pocket? NOBODY speaks for me. I have lived in Virginia since 1998, and sorely miss Attleboro. My family is there. My heart is there. My fondest memories of my growing up and even learning some pretty shocking life facts are there. NO ONE will ever make me think different. And I have always used my real name - to the point of someone on here remarking "Spoken like a true Bosh!" I am not a crackpot or sleazy 'one-note Johhny' who graces the other pages with stupid elementary-school-level shots anonymously, less they be found out for their immaturity. I am PROUD to be who I am. The only thing I truly lament is to go home for a visit, not know anyone in Stop and Shop, or the Friendly's in town, then to come back to VA and read the asinine things our beloved Guestbook has been taken over by. I blame RICH HOWARD for this 'change' - his gobbledy-gook spaced-out 'opinions' he tried soo hard to disguise as 'teachings'. Before he became so waaay out there, we all were quite fine reminiscing here about crank mimeograph machine paper smells, old friends some have seemed to locate, and jumping off into old Falls Pond. Dave, if you truly want us all here to be free to post those old-home memories, re-think and EDIT. And no offense to others, but if you have nothing to hide, why hide? "
