ATTLEBORO - Sensata Technologies revenues increased slightly during the second quarter, compared with 2012, the company announced Tuesday.

Net revenue was $506.4 million, up 0.4 percent. Net income amounted to $20.4 million, or 11 cents per share, compared with $26.1 million or 14 cents a share during the year-earlier quarter.

Net revenue for the six months ending June 30 was $976.8 million, a decrease of $19.8 million.

"We are pleased with our results as we delivered record net revenue for the second quarter and adjusted net income per diluted share at the high end of our guidance," said Martha Sullivan, president and CEO..

The sensors and controls maker reported spending $29.8 million, or 5.9 percent of net revenue, on research, development and engineering related costs in the second quarter of 2013.
