ATTLEBORO — Police are seeking to arrest a suspect wanted in connection with a break-in at a landscaping company who may be linked to similar crimes in other communities.
Derrick L. Headley, 39, whose last known address was in Boston, is wanted on a warrant charging him with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, vandalizing property and larceny.
The charges stem from a break-in on Walton Street on Sept. 11 where a $830 radio was stolen from a pick-up truck at Ryleigh’s Diesel and Automotive Repair and copper wire was stolen from Cryan Landscaping, according to a police report.
Surveillance video police obtained during the investigation revealed two men in a Ford Expedition were responsible for the break-ins.
The Ford Expedition was linked to the theft of a landscaping trailer in Norwood and the theft of landscaping tools in Woburn, according to police.
Boston police recovered a landscaping trailer on Sept. 12 which contained items stolen from Cryan Landscaping and tools stolen in Woburn.
Also found were tools stolen in Chelsea and a backpack with mail linked to Headley, according to police.
Police do not know of his whereabouts and have taken to social media for tips leading to his arrest.
