ATTLEBORO - Charlie Baker was a frequent visitor to the Attleboro area when he ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2010, and Thursday he was back on familiar ground as he cranks up another campaign for the corner office.

Baker, a Republican, came to the city Thursday to chat with Mayor Kevin Dumas, look over a redevelopment project in downtown Attleboro, then toured Attleboro Jewelers store with local business people and state Rep. Steven Howitt, R-Seekonk.
