White powder rains down on North Attleboro gas station after fire suppression system discharges

NORTH ATTLEBORO - It seemed to be snowing a blizzard in August when a fire suppression system suddenly discharged at the Sunoco gas station and convenience store on Kelley Boulevard Thursday night, covering about 15 people and several vehicles in a white chemical powder.

The suppression system went off shortly after 8 p.m. for an unknown reason, Fire Capt. Ron Meyer said.
