WRENTHAM - The mother of Taylor Meyer, the 17-year-old from Plainville who died at a drinking party in Norfolk in October, decided Monday to take things into her own hands literally to combat underage drinking.
Kathi Meyer confiscated about a dozen pink bracelets memorializing her daughter from among the 20 underage people arraigned Monday in Wrentham District Court for attending another drinking party at a Wrentham home Friday night. Angry and disappointed, Meyer intended to send a message. News Briefs
'Back to Bethlehem' at Norfolk church
NORFOLK - "Back to Bethlehem" is being held at Emmanuel Baptist Church and lets participants go back in time to the town of Bethlehem. On Friday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. you can shop in the marketplace, meet the townspeople, the shepherds, and the innkeeper. Feel the excitement of the special event that is about to happen there. Come and join in the celebration! Sponsored by Emmanuel Baptist Church's Music and Drama groups, 63 Rockwood Rd. NORTON - Solmonese Elementary School students sometimes wait as long as 30 minutes for their bus ride home thanks to road work on Route 123, Principal Mary Brown said Monday night.
