The fallout from the 4 to 5 inches of rain that drenched the area Friday, the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea, opened up a sinkhole on a small bridge in Norton and left the parking lot at LaSalette Shrine looking like a new lake.

In Norton, drivers were forced to take a detour when a small bridge on Cross Street had to be closed after a large sinkhole developed in the bridge.
