ATTLEBORO - John Harker always thought the house he owns at 2 Agricultural Ave., was in Rehoboth.

But that was before he had a survey conducted last year that shows the house - on which he has paid taxes in Rehoboth for years - is really in Attleboro.

Now, assessors in the two communities are wrestling over where the 100-year-old dwelling actually belongs.

REHOBOTH - The Rehoboth Senior Citizens Club holds regular meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Hurrell Senior Center, Bay State Road.

NORTON - Army 1st Lt. Jeffrey M. Schmidt of Norton has completed the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP). Students in the IPAP attend 12 months of course work at the Army's Academy of Health Sciences, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This is followed by 12 months of supervised clinical clerkships at military or affiliated medical facilities.

Trash Removal: No pickup.
Drop off at the transfer station on Plain St., Route 118 on Tues., 4-7 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Paint cans/waste are accepted year-round. Motor oil can be dropped off at the highway department on specific days, and the next day will be July 9, 8 a.m.-noon. Call the board of health at 508-253-3099 to find out future dates. Stickers are needed to remove trash. They cost $25 and can be purchased at the transfer station. Appliances, furniture, or anything non-recylable require coupons and stickers.
