REHOBOTH - A Plymouth man was arrested Saturday for reportedly traveling nearly 100 mph on Route 44 and faces numerous charges, including taking off on a police officer after being stopped.

About 4:40 p.m., Police Officer Louis Dibacco attempted to stop a vehicle on Winthrop Street (Route 44) in the area of Uncle Ed's Ice Cream. Dibacco observed the vehicle traveling at speeds in excess of 95 mph, Police Sgt. James Medeiros said.
