Demi Lovato has starred in a couple of Disney Channel shows, but she is not a typical Disney girl by any standards. Unlike many of the others, she uses her own voice and writes many of her own songs.
Her debut album, "Don't Forget," produced by Disney's Hollywood Records, is a mix between pop and rock, and the drums and guitars serve as great background for Demi's "American Idol"-worthy voice. The first single on the album, "Get Back," was written by Lovato with some help from the widely popular boy band the Jonas Brothers, who are also featured on the record.
The title track of "Don't Forget" begins softly and slowly with the electric guitar keeping time. As the song progresses, it gains momentum, with the drums adding to the beat in the background; remains quiet until the third chorus, where Lovato lets it all out; and then is brought back to a slower tempo at the end with the whisper of "Don't forget."
