MANSFIELD - Freshman Erin Regnier and junior Megan Sepich won their respective No. 2 and 3 singles matches in straight sets in guiding the King Philip High girls' tennis team to a 4-1 victory over Mansfield High Monday in a Hockomock League match at Memorial Park.

Both Warrior doubles teams won their matches in straight sets without losing a game. Paulina Martin scored the lone point for the Hornets, taking the first set of her match with Becca Ricci, 6-1.

KP (7-2) visits Franklin Tuesday, while Mansfield (4-4) visits Oliver Ames Wednesday.

Sophia Prinos and Julia Muise each lost just one game in winning their respective No. 1 and 2 singles matches, while Kayla Prag fired a straight-sets shutout at No. 3 singles as Foxboro (5-1) downed Canton 4-1 in a Hockomock League match. Foxboro entertains North Attleboro Wednesday.

Attleboro played its best tennis team of the season, but still fell 5-0 to Franklin in a Hockomock League match. Anna Nelson won the first set at No. 3 singles, while Mari Piazza and Taylor Palermo dropped a three-set match at No. 1 doubles. AHS (2-6) visits Taunton Wednesday.

Claudette Elkhoury picked up the only point for Seekonk in a 4-1 South Coast Conference loss to Apponequet, winning in straight sets, including a second-set shutout, at No. 3 singles. The Warriors (2-3) host Case on Thursday.

Ashley Dennett and Jane Richardson won their No. 2 doubles match in straight sets, losing just four games, but Norton suffered a 4-1 loss to Ashland in a Tri-Valley League match. The Lancers (1-5) host Dedham today.
