PLAINVILLE - Junior Jess Bonner belted a three-run homer in the first inning and a two-run homer in the sixth inning to power the King Philip Regional High softball team to a 9-3 victory over Mansfield High Monday in a Hockomock League game.

The Warriors (6-2) mustered 11 hits with two hits apiece from junior Hailey McCasland and sophomore Meg Gorman (two doubles).

Mady Bendanillo supplied all of the runs for the Hornets (4-3) with a three-run homer in the fourth inning off of KP pitcher Jenn Hutnyan. The Hornets had two hits and three walks off of Hutnyan, who struck out seven.

KP used five runs in the first inning to take control. Gorman doubled and McCasland singled to begin the spree with Hutnyan following with an RBI single.

Attleboro 5, Franklin 1

ATTLEBORO - McKenzie Bergdoll pitched a two-hitter, stranding Panther runners at third base in the second, fourth and fifth innings as the Bombardiers took the Hockomock League victory. Bergdoll blanked Franklin through the first five innings and did not issue a walk.

Jordyn Lako socked two doubles and a single, scoring twice for the Bombardiers (5-3). AHS took the lead in the first inning as Lako slugged a double and scored on a Bergdoll groundout. Bergdoll also had an RBI single.

AHS hosts Taunton Wednesday.

Norton 7, Ashland 2

ASHLAND - Olivia Pietersen slammed three hits, including a two-run homer in the fifth inning, to power the Lancers past the Clockers in Tri-Valley League action. Ali Frontino also had three hits for Norton (5-1).

Steph Nosky had two of the Lancers' 12 hits. Norton next entertains Millis Wednesday.

Dighton-Rehoboth 14,

Coyle-Cassidy 0

REHOBOTH - Emily Reid scattered two hits go go with seven strikeouts over four innings, while Julia Coute notched two strikeouts in the fifth inning in the five-inning non-league game.

Lexi Lovell went 3-for-3 at the plate, driving in three runs for the Falcons (7-1). Maddie Nees contributed three hits to D-R's total of 14 and drove in two two runs. The Falcons plated a pair of first-inning runs and added five more in the third.

Foxboro 23, Canton 5

CANTON - Cam Willis drove in four runs with three hits while Kelly Fisher drove in five runs with two hits as the Warriors (2-2) clubbed the Bulldogs.

Hannah Davis drove in three runs with three hits. Lexi Buckner and Taylor Wheatley each contributed two hits to Foxboro's total of 17. The Warriors visit North Attleboro Wednesday.

Tri-County 18, Southeastern 8

FRANKLIN - Nina Tinsley had the biggest hit of the day, a bases-loaded double, in the fourth inning of the Cougars' big Mayflower League win over Southeastern. Tinsley was 1-for-2 with five RBI in the walk-filled game.

The Cougars, who had eight base hits, took control with an eight-run third inning in which they accounted for half of their hits. Tri-County (3-3) hosts Upper Cape on Wednesday.

Case 13, Seekonk 2

SWANSEA - Seekonk's Zoe Jennings went the distance and struck out three batters, but the Warriors could not rally against Case in South Coast Conference action.

Tayla Handy launched an RBI double, followed by an Alli Houle RBI single for Seekonk's two runs in the fourth. The Warriors (3-3) host New Bedford Voke Tuesday.

Milford 14, North Attleboro 3

NORTH ATTLEBORO - The Rocketeers (5-2) laced eight hits, but were subdued in the Hockomock League game as the Scarlet Hawks totaled three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.
