The Foxboro Cultural Council is holding a reception for its 2018 grant recipients 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at The Marilyn Rodman Center for Performing Arts-The Orpheum.
Recipients will be on hand to discuss their funded projects.
The event is free and open to all residents of Foxboro. Light refreshments from Stop & Shop and Cupcake Charlie’s will be available.
State Rep. Jay Barrows, state Sen. Paul Feeney and selectmen chairman David Feldman will be in attendance.
The Foxboro Cultural Council is one of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth.
This year, the Foxboro Cultural Council funded 14 grants totaling $5,000 for cultural programs in and around Foxboro.
This year’s grant recipients are: Foxboro Music Association, Gregory Maichack at the Foxboro Council on Aging, Taylor School PTO, Clara Schuster on behalf of Taylor, Igo and Burrell Elementary Schools, Canton Community Band, John J. Ahern Middle School PAC, Mass Music and Arts Society, Un-Common Theatre Company, Doolittle Home. Foxboro Theatre Guild, Elyse O’Connor at The Doolittle Home and Doll E Daze Project at the Black Doll Museum.
The Foxboro Cultural Council will seek applications again in the fall.
