Foundry Five Woodwind Quintet is performing a concert as a fundraiser for the Woman & Infants’ NICU on Jan. 31, at the Music Mansion in Providence.
The chamber group, comprised of a group of 11th grade students from Foxboro High School and the Foxborough Charter School, will perform the works of Bozza, Hindemith, Cambini and Beethoven.

Since 2015 Foundry Five Woodwind Quintet has performed outreach concerts to venues in the community and surrounding areas. Members include Amy Conley, flute, Mary Clare Ernst, oboe, Liam Daly, clarinet, Dominic St. Pierre, horn and Janda Nuovo, bassoon, play a diverse repertoire of music from classical, folk and pop. , the quintet started rehearsing together during their 8th grade year after being inspired at the Southeastern Massachusetts Junior District Festival to play at a higher level. Through the quintet students developed ensemble skills, confidence, leadership and independence. They are all very involved in their high school music programs. They rehearse once a week on Foundry Pond and wish to give back to the community through their music.
Foundry Five’s concerts have included performing multiple times at the Boyden Library – Family Concert, Multiple times at the Doolittle Home, Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Committee of Greater Attleboro 32ndannual celebration, Foxborough’s Senior Center Supper Club, multiple performances for Foxborough’s Ecumenical Concert, and two recitals through the Foxborough High School Music Program.
