On Memorial Day weekend, Gillette Stadium hosted one of the most exciting events in college athletics - the 2009 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship. The event was truly exceptional, bringing thousands of passionate lacrosse fans from all parts of the country to our town.

On behalf of Foxborough Youth Lacrosse, I would like to thank the Kraft family for generously providing extraordinary opportunities for our players and their families at this event; opportunities that will be remembered and appreciated for years and years. A few of the highlights include our players being selected to serve as ball boys for each of the five games and the opportunity to play in front of tens of thousands of fans during halftime of the Division III championship game against a team from Metro Lacrosse.

In addition, the Kraft family provided Foxborough Youth Lacrosse with a tent in Hospitality Village, directly adjacent to the tents of the top college teams! In this area, Foxborough families were able to gather before and after the games.

The Foxborough Youth Lacrosse program is appreciative of the Kraft Family and the professional staff at Gillette for bringing the world's largest lacrosse event to Gillette Stadium and for providing memories for our young boys that will last a lifetime. It is events like this that should remind us all that we are very lucky to have the stadium and the Kraft family as an integral part of our community!
