PLAINVILLE — Plainridge Park Casino had a second consecutive good revenue month in April, taking in $14.3 million.
The figure was about $126,000 more than the March mark and well above the $12.3 million Plainridge had been averaging for the previous six months.
It was also the highest revenue level since August of 2015, two months after the casino opened.
Plainridge kept a little more of the money gamblers get on its 1,250 slot machines.
The casino paid out 91.75 percent in winnings on the money paid into the slot machines and kept 8.25 percent. In March Plainridge kept 7.88 percent.
The casino off Route 1 in Plainville also continues to generate taxes for the state.
It paid $5.72 million to the state in April and contributed $1.28 million into a fund to support the horse racing industry.
In total, 49 percent of Plainridge revenue goes to the state and the horse fund.
