NORFOLK — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they suspect stole a wallet at town hall.

Police released surveillance photos of the man Thursday and say he was seen in North Attleboro using stolen credit cards.

Deputy Police Chief Jon Carroll said the suspect stole the wallet Tuesday from a town employee who left it on a counter.

Carroll said the man left town hall driving a blue Mazda with a Rhode Island license plate, 638331.

The car was reported stolen out of Providence and the license plate did not match the vehicle, the chief said.

Anyone with any information can call Norfolk Police at 508-528-3206. Ask for detectives Jimmy Meneses or Michelle Palladini.

David Linton may be reached at 508-236-0338.
