Residents in North Attleboro and Attleboro remembered those affected by the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center by attending local ceremonies.

In North Attleboro, a brief ceremony was held at the 9/11 memorial on Baptist Common. It was attended by firefighters, veterans, local politicians and residents.

The Attleboro Fire Department also held a ceremony on Friday, which included lowering the flag to half-staff and ringing a ceremonial bell.
