Attleboro police and detectives converge on Carlon Street in the Attleboro Housing Authority for a sudden death.

ATTLEBORO — A 25-year-old woman was found dead this morning inside an apartment in the public housing complex on Carlon Street.

Police and fire officials were called to the complex initially about a suspected drug overdose, but are still investigating the cause of death.

“As of this point, no foul play is suspected. But we are still actively investigating,” Detective Sgt. Arthur Brillon said.

Brillon said investigators are waiting for the state medical examiner to perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

The name of the victim was not released.

Attleboro police and the state police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office are conducting the probe.
