To the editor:

On June 18, I’m planning to vote for Julie Boyce for North Attleboro Town Council and here’s why: Over the past several years, I’ve been an outspoken opponent of increased taxation, specifically Proposition 2 1/2 overrides. During that time, I’ve been greatly impressed with Ms Boyce’s dedication, passion and tenacity in fighting against increased taxation. After an override was approved by the voters last year, she didn’t give up. She, along with her husband, family and friends, set up a tent across from the police station and collected signatures during several months to challenge the constitutionality of the override question.

In her own words, she is “about protecting our seniors, veterans and families; and helping keep our businesses here and the residents in their homes.”

She will fight relentlessly for our taxpayer rights before the new Town Council.

I encourage others to consider voting for Ms Boyce.
