First photo: Fifth-graders at Plainville's Wood School perform a Kwanzaa song during the school's Winter Extravaganza held before school let out for vacation.

In addition to Kwanzaa, students also performed songs representing the traditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, Eid (an Islamic holiday), Chinese New Year, Russian Christmas and Diwali (a Hindu holiday).
